Staff training

On the job training is an important part of the ethos
at Canford Healthcare.

Other training afforded to our staff includes health and
safety courses, pressure area care training, cross infection awareness, training in customer service skills and subjects relating to nursing.

All of our staff are inducted in a programme that fully assesses their training needs.
Members of the team who are involved in food preparation are trained in food hygiene awareness.
Employees who need to help residents move will attend an accredited moving and handling course.
Qualified first aiders are on duty at our homes at all times. All staff attend fire lectures on a six-monthly basis.
