Shift Coordinators - full time day shift vacancies

Maples Care Home is part of the Canford Healthcare group of homes and looks to provide its residents with high levels of care through ensuring that we have a high ratio of employees on all shifts and that all our employees are well trained, supported, rewarded and recognised for their achievements.

As a Shift Coordinator you will have experience in elderly care, demonstrate warmth and support to the residents, helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the quality of lives of individuals in your care.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Overseeing a team of care staff
  • Inducting and mentoring staff
  • Completing an effective handover and allocation of staff
  • Administering medication
  • Ensuring that your team is providing a high level of care to our residents
  • Supporting our residents to maintain their independence
  • Providing personal care
  • Accurately recording observations in accordance with the resident’s conditions
  • Identifying and assisting with residents needs
  • Serving meals
  • Assisting our residents as necessary
